McMillan Pazdan Smith Honored with The Firm Award by AIA South Carolina

McMillan Pazdan Smith has received the highest honor that AIA South Carolina can award an architecture firm. “The Firm Award” recognizes a firm that exemplifies the very best of the profession. Before bestowing this award, the AIA South Carolina Board of Directors considers a firm’s body of work, their contribution to the profession, and service in the community.

In acknowledgement of McMillan Pazdan Smith’s longstanding and continued influence on the practice of architecture in South Carolina, MPS leaders accepted The Firm Award at the 2024 AIA SC Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration on the evening of October 25th at Avenue in Greenville, South Carolina.

“AIA awards are carefully structured and highly competitive. We are thrilled to share this honor publicly in the hopes it will continue to inspire the next generation of architects to aim high and continue to elevate our profession in South Carolina and beyond,” says Brad Smith, Founding Principal of McMillan Pazdan Smith. “MPS has focused on serving amazing clients with integrity and bringing tangible, positive improvements to communities since 1955. While our talent, reach, and service offerings continue to grow, our purpose of creating lasting impact for the good of all has never been stronger.”

“We’re thankful to AIA SC for this prestigious recognition. This award justifies our firm’s unwavering commitment to design excellence as we strive daily to improve everything we touch and reimagine what’s possible in the built environment,” says Cary Perkins, Principal + Director of Design Engagement, McMillan Pazdan Smith.

The theme of this year’s awards ceremony was “Textiles & Tuxedos: Weaving History into Design.” McMillan Pazdan Smith’s Lisa Lanni opened the evening’s program with a presentation on the legacy and status of Greenville’s historic mill buildings.
