The Advocates: Get Out The Vote!

Chamber members, we are exactly four days from Election Day.

If you haven’t already cast your ballot, there’s still time to make your voice heard. This year, elections are being held at the federal, state and, in some cases, local levels. To help you prepare for Election Day on Tuesday, we’ve created a Chamber Certified Voter Checklist.

VOTER CHECKLIST

✔︎ Review Your Ballot
Review your ballot ahead of time and verify your polling place by checking out https://scvotes.gov/voters/.

✔︎ Review the Chamber PAC Voter Guides
Review the 2024 Chamber PAC Voting Guides to see who we are endorsing this year. We’ve created state and local guides for candidates who will support a business-friendly environment in South Carolina.

✔︎ Review Additional Resources
Did you know the U.S. Chamber of Commerce releases an election guide every four years to help inform Chamber members?

You can check out their resources here:

✔︎ Create an Election Day Plan
Decide what time you will vote and make sure you bring a government issued ID. Early in the morning and after lunch are typically good times to go get in line.

✔︎ READ THE ENTIRE BALLOT
Charleston County residents will see the Transportation Sales Tax referendum, which is broken up into two questions, at the very end of their ballots.

The Chamber strongly encourages you to VOTE YES on this referendum to secure our needed funding for transportation infrastructure and greenspace.

More information about the benefits of the referendum can be found here.

As leaders, your voices and actions have a powerful impact. By participating in the democratic process, you’re not only shaping policies that affect your business but also setting an example of civic engagement for employees, clients and the community.

We urge you not to sit out this year—GO VOTE!

Have a great weekend!
