Bailey Vincett Promoted to Associate Vice President of Government Relations at Charleston Metro Chamber

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the promotion of Bailey Vincett to Associate Vice President of Government Relations. Since joining the Chamber in 2021 as Government Relations Coordinator, Vincett has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a steadfast commitment to advocating for the region’s business community.

Vincett’s role within the Chamber has steadily evolved, having been promoted to Director of Government Affairs before assuming her new position. She has played a key role in shaping the Chamber’s legislative priorities and strengthening relationships with elected officials at the local, state and federal levels. When the South Carolina General Assembly is in session, Vincett spends the majority of her time in Columbia, working directly with lawmakers and their staff to advance policies that support economic growth and regional prosperity.

“I am honored to take on this new role as Associate Vice President of Government Relations, and I remain deeply committed to advocating for the Charleston metro business community,” said Vincett. “The region’s growth and prosperity are central to our future and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our legislative delegation at the State House to ensure our voices are heard and our priorities are advanced.”

Kevin T. Sheilley, President and CEO of the Charleston Metro Chamber, praised Vincett’s impact on the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and her leadership in Columbia.

“In my brief time with the Chamber, it has become abundantly clear what great work our Government Relations team does on a daily basis and even more the incredible impact of having Bailey lead our efforts in Columbia,” said Sheilley. “She is a fantastic representative for the business community and I look forward to continuing to see her impact grow.”

As Associate Vice President, Vincett will continue to lead the Chamber’s government relations initiatives at the state level, ensuring that the region’s business community remains well-represented on critical legislative issues. Her strategic approach and deep understanding of policy matters have made her a trusted advocate and a respected presence at the State House.

Scott Barhight, Senior Vice President of Government Relations for the Chamber, emphasized Vincett’s contributions and the significance of her promotion.

“We are so very pleased to elevate Bailey to Associate Vice President of Government Relations. From her first day in the office, Bailey has exceeded every expectation and been willing to take on challenges that would have daunted most,” said Barhight. “She has become one of the most respected lobbyists in Columbia and earned the admiration of every Chamber member who has had an opportunity to work with her. We are grateful she is a part of the team.” Vincett’s promotion underscores the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to strong advocacy on behalf of its members. As she steps into this leadership role, the Chamber remains dedicated to ensuring the Charleston region’s business community has a powerful voice in legislative discussions that shape its future.
