The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023 Honors Awards.

The Honors aims to recognize outstanding contributions made by Chamber members who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth and enhancing quality of life within the Charleston region. Nominations were open to any Chamber member, in good standing and with at least 1 year of membership. Winners were voted on by a panel of previous award winners.

Award recipients will be recognized at The Honors ceremony, held on November 16, preceding Member-Bration. The evening of events not only pays tribute to the dynamic business community but also commemorates the Charleston Metro Chamber’s 250 years of impact on the region’s businesses.

Business of the Year – REV Federal Credit Union

Recognizes an organization known for long-standing excellence, who has demonstrated business success for 20 plus years and showcases a deep dedication for advancing the business community and Charleston region.

Small Business of the Year – J.H.W. Enterprises

This award is presented to an outstanding small business who has demonstrated value in community engagement, entrepreneurship, employee relations, leadership and performance. This small business has generated success by implementing creative and innovative strategies.

Innovator of the Year – Code/+/Trust

This award recognizes a business or leader that has created a cutting-edge product or service that has impacted their industry/region or someone that has grown or reshaped their business in a significant and meaningful way. 

Diversity Champion of the Year – We Are Sharing Hope SC

Honors a business or leader who is committed to creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace and/or community. This champion has had an undeniable impact to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to live, learn and earn.

Non-Profit of the Year – My Sister’s House

This award is presented to a local non-profit organization who is dedicated to serving the needs of our region. This non-profit has made considerable impacts in enhancing lives and our community. 

Community Impact Champion – Metanoia

This award is presented to a business or individual who has exhibited a commitment to the community by demonstrating an active leadership role through their involvement in business, civic and social service organizations.

One to Watch – Nikki Kuniej, Charleston Radio Group

Recognizes an individual rising through the ranks, with outstanding professional, personal and leadership success in the business community while contributing time and energy to advancing the Charleston region.

In addition to the recipients listed above, the Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award will also be presented at The Honors. The Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated the ability to be a visionary leader doing extraordinary work to strengthen the community and who is an outstanding community volunteer who has demonstrated a lifetime of leadership.
