What is EXECnetSC?
EXECnetSC, the South Carolina Executive Network, is a bank of retired, semi-retired or employed senior executives or business owners, from a variety of industries able to serve in management positions of start-up ventures. These assignments may be short-term (less than one year) or long term (a year or longer) and may include compensation. Typical Assignments include: board director, CEO, CFO, COO, CTO and president.
Should I Get Involved?
Oftentimes and entrepreneur starting a company has extreme expertise in their product or service are and limited knowledge in commercializing their idea or running a business. In order to get a company started, have a better chance for sustainability, and/or obtain funding, an entrepreneur needs the experience of a seasoned executive on their management team.
How Does it Work?
Interested participants provide their bio and contact information. Entrepreneurs seeking assistance complete an application outlining their need(s). All information is maintained by the EXECnetSC administrator who will then match companies with the executives. Once an executive and entrepreneur agree to a match, contact information is shared and the two parties negotiate their working relationship directly.
All assignments are voluntary and there is no obligation to accept a suggested match. Matches are based on need, background, experience, availability and demand.
